Job Description:

Snelling Staffing is seeking a skilled Millwork Craftsman for an immediate opening in Youngstown, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the assembly of custom doors and hardware, transporting materials, and preparing finished products for shipment according to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and review work orders thoroughly.
• Assist in machine operations to build door jambs, route hinge and strike plate pockets, bevel edges, sand, assemble doors, and install hardware.
• Fill imperfections using putty or filler and sand components for a smooth finish.
• Inspect materials and products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning, including adjustments and calibrations.
• Secure finished door assemblies on pallets for storage or shipment.
• Assist in inventory management, including counting and recording materials such as jamb stock, hardware, and weather stripping.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and provide support to other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to learn basic woodworking and door assembly techniques, as well as identify different wood species and their characteristics.
• Practical knowledge of company policies, safety protocols, and compliance with work rules.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, work orders, safety manuals, and other documentation.
• Strong communication skills for presenting information in small group settings and one-on-one interactions.
• Basic math skills, including knowledge of algebra and geometry, for tasks such as calculating angles and material quantities.
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment, such as saws, drills, sanders, planers, and measuring tools.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification) and adherence to forklift safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed and demonstrate a cooperative attitude in supporting team members.
