A Small Business Administration (SBA) Loan Processor is responsible for managing the loan application and approval process for small businesses seeking financial assistance through SBA loans. The Loan Processor should be able to work independently and demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Clean Criminal Background
Credit must be in good standing
Considerable Customer Service experience is necessary and required
Three (3) + years customer service in a professional setting
Microsoft office products: Word, Excel, Outlook
Pleasant telephone and personal communications skills
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Loan Application Review: Review and evaluate loan applications submitted by small businesses to ensure they meet the SBA loan program requirements. Verify that all required documentation is complete and accurate.
Documentation Collection: Collect and organize all necessary financial and legal documents from borrowers, including tax returns, financial statements, business plans, and other supporting materials.
Application Processing: Process loan applications by entering relevant information into loan processing systems, conducting credit checks, and verifying the accuracy of financial data provided by applicants.
Loan Eligibility Determination: Assess the eligibility of small businesses for SBA loan programs based on criteria such as business size, industry type, financial stability, and adherence to SBA regulations.
Communication with Borrowers: Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers during the loan application process. Communicate with borrowers to request additional information or clarification on their applications, and provide updates on the status of their loan applications.
Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with SBA loan program guidelines and regulations throughout the loan processing and approval process. Stay up to date with any changes or updates to SBA loan policies.
Collaboration with Underwriters: Collaborate with loan underwriters to assess the creditworthiness of loan applicants and to determine loan terms, interest rates, and repayment plans.
Application Submission: Prepare and submit loan applications to the SBA for final approval. Coordinate with SBA officials to address any additional requirements or inquiries related to loan applications.
Documentation Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan files and documentation throughout the loan processing and approval process. Ensure that all loan-related documents are properly stored and organized.
Reporting and Record-Keeping: Generate reports and maintain records related to loan processing activities, including loan application status, approval rates, and loan disbursement details.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to small business owners by addressing their inquiries, concerns, and providing guidance throughout the loan application process.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the loan processing function. Make recommendations for streamlining procedures and implementing best practices.
