Kennel Attendant (Facility & Sanitation Support)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)

Compensation: $16.00 / hour

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Kennel Attendant to join our team. In this position, you will be essential to daily operations, ensuring clean bedding, sanitized food and water bowls, and a safe, hygienic environment across the facility.

Please note: This is a dedicated facilities and sanitation role. It does not involve direct animal handling or contact.

Key Responsibilities

• Kennel & Facility Sanitation: Clean, scrub, and sanitize dog runs, cat areas, and common hallways using facility-approved cleaners.
• Laundry Operations: Wash, dry, fold, and stock towels, blankets, and pet bedding throughout the day.
• Dishes & Supplies: Wash, disinfect, and restock food and water bowls, litter pans, and related items.
• Trash & Waste Removal: Empty indoor trash receptacles, remove soiled materials, and maintain overall facility cleanliness.
• Supply Monitoring: Keep work areas stocked with detergents, disinfectants, and paper products.

Requirements

• Reliable Attendance: Punctual and ready to start shifts at 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
• Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40–50 lbs (laundry baskets, trash bags, cleaning supplies).
• Work Environment: Comfortable working around shelter noise and odors.
• No Experience Necessary: Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or kennel experience is a plus, but not required—we will train the right person.
