Position Summary: Snelling Staffing is seeking a highly organized and clinical Medical Assistant for a confidential placement at a premier integrated outpatient clinic in Panama City Beach.
This is a specialized, dual-focus role designed for a professional who can bridge the gap between mental health and primary care. You will spend a significant portion of your day acting as a Medication Coordinator—supporting psychiatric providers by navigating the complexities of pharmacy communications and prior authorizations—while also providing hands-on clinical support, such as rooming patients and taking vitals for the Family Nurse Practitioner.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on being the “glue” that keeps a provider’s day running smoothly and enjoys helping patients navigate their healthcare journey with empathy and efficiency.
Assist psychiatric providers with medication-related coordination, acting as the primary liaison between the provider, the patient, and the pharmacy.
Coordinate medication refill requests and resolve prescription transmission issues.
Proactively manage and submit prior authorization requests to ensure patient access to care.
Communicate with patients regarding medication questions and help resolve insurance coverage hurdles.
Chart Preparation & Workflow Management
Prepare provider charts in advance, ensuring all required screenings and forms are ready for the visit.
Review upcoming schedules to identify refill needs or potential documentation gaps.
Manage provider inbox messages and coordinate laboratory orders.
Primary Care Support & Rooming
Assist the Family Nurse Practitioner with patient intake and rooming.
Obtain and record accurate vital signs and document chief complaints.
Maintain and update medical histories and medication lists within the EMR.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and experience with prior authorizations/medication coordination is highly desirable.
Soft Skills: Exceptional professional phone etiquette, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Certification: CMA or RMA certification is preferred, but we will consider non-certified candidates with significant, relevant experience.
Compensation & Benefits Upon Completion of a 90-Day Probationary Period:
Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual begins at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (approximately 69 hours per year for full-time employees).
Retirement: 401(k) plan eligibility with an employer match of up to 6%.
Clinic Perks: Access to complimentary primary and urgent care visits at the client’s clinic locations.
Standard Benefits:
Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Work-Life Balance: Consistent Monday–Friday schedule in a supportive, collaborative environment.
How to Apply: As this is a confidential search, please submit your resume and application directly to Snelling Staffing. We will review your qualifications and contact you to discuss the details of this specific client and the unique opportunities this role provides.
