Snelling Staffing is hiring a Service Technician for a specialty millwork shop in Youngstown, FL. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and seeing the results of their efforts in high-end windows, doors, and custom millwork.

You’ll be the “go-to” person for inspecting, adjusting, and repairing windows and doors—both in the shop and out in the field—helping ensure every project is finished to a premium standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

Service & Inspection

• Implement the Gold Key Program by inspecting windows and doors after installation to identify and correct any installation or manufacturing defects.
• Perform site visits to:
  • Install handle sets and hardware
  • Adjust windows and doors to ensure smooth, proper operation
  • Lubricate hardware and perform final inspections as projects near completion

Maintenance & Repair

• Perform maintenance and repair services as directed by:
  • Annual contracts
  • Warranties
  • Work orders
• Check operation of all components, lubricate and adjust mechanisms, and communicate inspection results to homeowners or contractors.

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare and submit detailed Service Reports to the Service Coordinator for parts ordering, tracking, and billing.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, builders, and internal team members to explain issues, solutions, and next steps.

Teamwork & Safety

• Participate in regular service meetings to review:
  • Previous week’s service activity
  • Current schedule, priorities, and deadlines
• Follow company safety procedures, use appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work both independently in the field and collaboratively with shop and office staff.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Background

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior success as a service technician or experience in one or more of the following is a plus:
  • Window and door installation
  • Carpentry or millwork
  • General construction
  • Home maintenance or mechanical trades
• We are open to training candidates who have strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

Skills & Abilities

• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools (drills, drivers, levels, etc.).
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and precision in measurements, adjustments, and finish work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team in the shop.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a millshop/woodworking environment (dust, noise, etc.).
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Safety-conscious attitude and consistent use of PPE.

Working Conditions

• Primarily based in a millshop/woodworking shop environment.
• Regular off-site travel to customer locations, job sites, and service calls.
• Exposure to typical shop conditions, including machinery, dust, and noise (PPE provided and required).
