Do you like working with your hands and seeing a finished product at the end of the day? Snelling Staffing is hiring a Cabinet Production Assistant for a specialty cabinet and millwork shop in Youngstown, FL. This is a great long-term, temp-to-hire opportunity with a company that takes pride in quality and custom work.

You don’t need formal cabinet experience to apply—but you must be comfortable learning woodworking skills, working around machinery, and using a tape measure accurately.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be helping build custom cabinets and millwork from start to finish, including:

• Sorting & assembling parts that come off the CNC
• Fabricating face frames to fit custom cabinet sizes
• Milling, gluing, and clamping boards to create panels
• Inspecting cabinets and components for defects or quality issues
• Sanding and prepping items to be painted in the paint booth
• Installing hardware on finished cabinetry (hinges, handles, etc.)
• Keeping areas clean – equipment, work area, and shared spaces as needed
• Assisting with loading jobs for transportation to job sites
• Assisting in other millwork production areas as needed and cross-training on different tasks

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should:

• MUST be able to read a tape measure accurately
• Enjoy hands-on work and learning basic woodworking/millwork procedures
• Be able to follow written, verbal, and diagrammed instructions
• Have the ability to read and understand:
  • • Work orders
    • Safety manuals and product labels
    • Basic company policies and guidelines
• Have basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)
  • • Comfortable applying math to real tasks like measuring boards or calculating dimensions
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors (one-on-one or in small groups)
• Work safely with or around:
  • • Saws (rip, chop, table, undercut)
    • Sanders, routers, air tools
    • Other standard millwork equipment
• Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Be willing to work overtime or flexible hours as needed
• Woodworking, construction, cabinet, or general labor experience is a plus, but not required if you have the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
