Assembly Technician
Location: Panama City, FL
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Schedule Note: Due to current production demands, this position currently requires mandatory overtime, including Friday and Saturday shifts. This schedule is expected to continue through the end of the year but is subject to change based on business needs.

Build critical electrical equipment that powers entire communities. In this hands-on role, you will work on an active production line building essential electrical components with a team dedicated to quality, precision, and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble electrical transformers and related components on a production assembly line.
• Use basic hand and power tools to perform detailed, repetitive assembly tasks (paid training provided).
• Follow established safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leads to maintain production flow.
• Work in a fast-paced, physical environment standing, moving, and using your hands throughout the shift.
• Note: Requires the ability to work at elevated workstations/tables, reach across machinery, and perform tasks at varying heights safely and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble core steel and install components onto coils (padding, clips, frames, and steel pieces) according to standard specifications and blueprints.
• Ensure core and coil units are accurately built to quality and dimensional standards.
• Inspect transformer cores carefully throughout the assembly process.
• Organize workstations and maintain tools for efficient, safe workflow.
• Collaborate with team members and follow supervisory directions to meet shift production targets.
• Maintain clean work areas and strictly adhere to all safety guidelines.

Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read work instructions, read a tape measure, and perform basic shop math.
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is preferred, but open to entry-level candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with basic manual and powered hand tools.
• Overhead hoist or crane operation experience is a plus.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical screening.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Movement: Continuous standing, walking, bending, climbing, crouching, reaching, and gripping.
• Environment: Industrial facility subject to seasonal temperature variations and industrial noise levels.
• PPE: Ability to wear all required PPE (safety-toe footwear, eye protection, hearing protection, and gloves).
• Vision & Dexterity: Excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, color vision, and depth perception.
