Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule Note: Due to current production demands, this position currently requires mandatory overtime, including Friday and Saturday shifts. This schedule is expected to continue through the end of the year but is subject to change based on business needs.

About the Role

As a Metal Fabricator, you will shape the structural and functional metal components essential to heavy equipment and electrical manufacturing. You will work with sheet metal and structural steel to bend, cut, form, and assemble parts with precision—including operating multiple fabrication machines to complete assemblies from start to finish in a fast-paced, quality-focused production environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, shears, punches, saws, and specialized forming machinery.
  • Measure, cut, and form metal parts to exact specifications, utilizing precision measuring tools and tape measures.
  • Handle heavy steel rolls and raw materials safely and efficiently.
  • Fit, fasten, and inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and dimensional standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and detailed work instructions.
  • Perform tack welds and minor mechanical assembly work as required.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to hit daily production targets.
  • Maintain clean, organized workstations and adhere strictly to all safety and quality protocols.
  • Support cross-training initiatives across different fabrication stations.

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing preferred.
  • Solid background in machine operation and basic machine setup/programming.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, basic shop math skills, and the ability to read a tape measure to exact specifications.
  • Proficiency with powered hand tools, measuring equipment, and standard shop tools.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical assessment.

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Lifting & Mobility: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; continuous standing, bending, reaching, and moving throughout 10- to 12-hour shifts.
  • Environment: Active industrial manufacturing facility subject to noise, seasonal temperature variations, and heavy machinery operations.
  • PPE: Steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection required.
  • Dexterity & Vision: Excellent manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and strong visual acuity for detailed fabrication work.
