Pay Rate: $20.00/Hr – $25.00/Hr (DOE) Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am to 5pm (Subject to Change) Location: Youngstown, FL 32466

High School Diploma or equivalent
Five (5) + years CAD/CAM design experience
Requires practical knowledge of standard computer-aided design and manufacturing procedures and experience to interpret information from a variety of sources and develop accurate CAD designs and CAM programs to support production functions.
Must be able to learn to distinguish between various species of wood and develop familiarity with the characteristics of each.
Must have working knowledge of trademark and licensing regulations, Company policies, safety procedures, and other guidelines to consistently comply with and enforce work rules and regulations.
Requires ability to read and comprehend procedure, operating and safety manuals; architectural specifications and descriptions; work orders; trade journals; and other documents.
Must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, architects, contractors, and vendors.
Requires ability to accurately work with mathematical concepts such as geometry, algebra, and basic trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and dimensions to practical situations such as the design and programming of equipment to produce custom wood products to desired specification.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to efficiently operate telephones, computers, printers, copiers, scanners, calculators and other standard office equipment.
Ability to accurately use architect scales, calipers, protractors, tape measures and other precision measuring instruments.
Must be able to safely operate the band saw, cut-off saw, and CNC router.
Must be proficient in word processing, scanning, PDF, spreadsheet, network, CAD, and CAM (CNC) software applications.
Requires precision and attention to detail.
Must have the ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
Requires the ability to plan and organize work for self and others, handle multiple priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work overtime and a flexible schedule as needed.
May be required to occasionally travel overnight or longer to attend training, meetings or other activities on behalf of the Company.
Requires discretion and tact in dealing with sensitive or confidential information.
Must demonstrate cooperative behaviors, assisting co-workers as needed.
Valid Drivers License
CAD/Master CAM certification highly desired
Basic Woodworking and Carpentry Skills

Snelling has an immediate opening for a Mastercam (CNC) Programmer in the Youngstown, FL area. This position will be responsible Develops drawings, programs and designs to guide the production of custom wood products at our Florida facility.The Mastercam (CNC) Programmer should be able to work independently and demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Job duties include the following:
Receives and reviews sketches, blueprints, architectural drawings and or descriptions.
Clarifies design specifications as needed with the Company President, GM, Estimating Dept Manager, or Project Manager.
Imports or develops computer-aided design (CAD) drawings to guide the production of custom wood products.
Inspects drawing to ensure it accurately represents the design description and specifications.
Submits renderings to the Estimating Dept Manager, Company President, or GM for revision or approval.
Develops programs for the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) router to produce custom wood components in conformance with design specifications.
Analyzes drawings and specifications to determine program input such as reference points, cutting paths, and dimensions.
Calculates and downloads coordinates; size and dimension of cuts and other data to produce knife templates, which are then used to cut desired profiles.
Researches router specifications and operational requirements.
Contacts vendors, as needed, to determine appropriate feeds and spindle speeds to obtain desired cuts and resolve other problems as they arise.
Operates or assists in operating the CNC router as needed.
Assists in setting up and operating the CNC router to produce templates or sample cuts.
Inspects and measures templates for conformance to design specifications. Makes adjustments as appropriate.
Exports CAD files to architects, contractors or others as appropriate to support design use.
Performs other duties as assigned.
