Employee will work in the clinical area as primary duty which may include, but not limited to:
Obtain and appropriately record patient vital signs and medications list
Prepare patient charts with pertinent medical information
Provide therapeutic care to patients and their families in an outpatient setting
Perform such other duties as may be reasonably assigned to Employee from time to time by the Practice Manager or Medical Director.
Educate patients regarding electronic access to patient medical information (portal), send out office notes to referring physicians, and any other criteria needed in order to meet, MIPS, PQRS or other government programs as requested by management.
Duties could also include pre-authorization for treatment, scheduling of surgical procedures, and scheduling of diagnostic procedures as requested.
Straighten up and perform light cleaning of patient reception area and patient bathrooms.
Answer phones, check in patients, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and if applicable, ensure that patient has the necessary referral from insurance before being seen by provider.
Perform such other duties as may be reasonably assigned to Employee from time to time by the Practice Manager, Assistant Manager or Medical Director.
Employee can delegate to others the responsibilities listed above, but Employee ultimately is responsible for the job to be completed (employee will immediately notify Employee’s supervisor if there is an issue with assistance from others in this regard).
