Job Description:

Snelling Staffing has an immediate opening for a Fishing Rod Repair Specialist in Panama City Beach, FL. The fishing rod repair specialist will be responsible for making repairs and assisting customers as needed. The ideal candidate will have a background in the fishing industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Fishing Rod Repair
• Greeting and interacting with customers
• Collects payment using the store point of sale system
• Ensure the shop is neat, clean, safe and organized & merchandise is stocked and properly displayed
• Assisting customers to exceed their expectations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities:

• Hand-Eye Coordination: Precise hand-eye coordination is necessary for working with small parts and performing delicate repairs on fishing rods.
• Problem-solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and identify issues with fishing rod, and develop effective solutions to fix them.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding how fishing equipment works and is assembled.
• Attention to Detail: Being meticulous and thorough in inspecting and repairing fishing rods to ensure it functions properly and safely.
• Patience: Some repairs may be intricate and time-consuming, requiring patience to complete tasks accurately without rushing.
• Manual Dexterity: Skilled use of tools and equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble fishing rods.
• Customer Service Skills: Interacting with customers to understand their concerns, explain repair options, and provide excellent service.
• Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems, barcode scanners, and other cashiering equipment, as well as basic computer skills for tasks such as entering and updating service orders.
• Reliability: Good employees consistently show up on time and complete tasks reliably. They can be depended upon to fulfill their responsibilities and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:

• 18 years and older
• Willing to train the right individuals.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shop space.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
